Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WBS SEO Audit ("the app"), provided by WBS Agency SpA (Chile). By installing the app from the Shopify App Store or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

WBS SEO Audit is a Shopify app that runs SEO and AEO (answer-engine optimization) audits against your store and generates AI suggestions for product titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, structured data and related copy. Suggestions never auto-apply — you review and approve each one before we write it to Shopify, and every applied change is reversible from the in-app change history.

2. Account and access

You access the app by signing in with email (magic link) and connecting a Shopify store via OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. We do not store passwords.

3. Plans, billing and Shopify

Paid plans are billed through Shopify Billing — the charge appears on your monthly Shopify invoice in USD. You can change plans or cancel at any time from your Shopify Admin → Apps → WBS SEO Audit.

  • Free plan: available without a card. Subject to monthly limits described on the pricing page.
  • Paid plans: recurring monthly or yearly. The first charge happens when you approve the recurring application charge inside Shopify.
  • Cancellation: takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused days.
  • Quota: each plan includes a monthly cap on AI actions, scans, applied fixes, etc. When you hit a cap, the rest waits for the next cycle or you can upgrade.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer the app or its underlying AI prompts.
  • Resell or sub-license access without our written consent.
  • Use the app on a store that doesn't belong to you or that you're not authorised to administer.
  • Generate content that's illegal, defamatory, harmful, or infringing on third-party rights.
  • Scrape, abuse rate limits, or attempt to bypass plan quotas.

5. AI-generated content

Suggestions are generated by third-party AI providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT). We do our best to keep them grounded in your actual product data, but AI can produce inaccurate or generic text. You are responsible for reviewing every suggestion before approving and applying it to your store. We are not liable for any consequence arising from auto-approved or unreviewed suggestions.

6. Intellectual property

  • Your content stays yours. We hold no rights over your product catalog, the text we read from your store, or the fixes we generate (which become yours once applied).
  • The app stays ours. The codebase, UI, prompts and audit logic remain the property of WBS Agency SpA.

7. Service availability

We target 99% uptime but provide no SLA on the free plan. Paid plans do not currently carry a contractual SLA either — we monitor Anthropic/OpenAI/Shopify API status and pause AI generation when upstreams are down. Audit results and applied changes are persisted and available when service resumes.

8. Termination

You may uninstall the app from Shopify at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate §4 (acceptable use) or that fail Shopify Billing charges repeatedly. On termination, data retention follows §6 of our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-revenue damages.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes are communicated by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by negotiation will be submitted to the competent courts of Santiago, Chile.
